How to Doodle Maximum

How to Doodle Maximum

Step 1

drawing maximum

If someone asked you to visualize the idea of MAXIMUM, what would you draw? We could tackle this in a number of ways. But, for this example, we will use a scale reading to represent the word. To begin your doodle, draw a couple of arc shapes that are closed off at the bottom with a straight line. Notice how one of the shapes is a little larger than the other.

Step 2

draw maximum

Use three smaller arc shapes to draw the inside of the scale. This combination of shapes will become our arrow. This arrow will highlight what the reading is on the scale.

Step 3

doodling maximum

Next, use a couple more arc shapes to visualize the maximum and minimum settings on the scale. Notice how on the left we end with a point. While on the right we use a straight line. That is where the MAXIMUM will be.

Step 4

doodle maximum

Let’s now highlight where the minimum and maximum levels are by writing the words MIN and MAX. Then use a couple more arc shapes as shown within the example.

Step 5

how to doodle maximum

Add the finishing touches to your doodle by giving it some color. And there we have it. This is our visual representation of MAXIMUM. How many other ways can you think of to visualize this word in the form of a simple doodle?

How to Doodle Manufacturing

Step 1

drawing manufacture

If someone asked you to visualize the process of MANUFACTURING, what would you draw? How would you visualize the idea of manufacturing? Let’s use a very straightforward example using a car doodle. If you notice in the example, what I am trying to do is to show how a “doodle” car is manufactured step-by-step. In this example, I have used a simple arc and rectangle shapes.

Step 2

draw manufacture

Notice in step 2 of this process how we are visualizing how the doodle car is built/drawn. We start with the top part of the car, then we add the body, then we add the wheels, and then in the last step, we add some more details.

Step 3

doodling manufacture

To highlight the fact that the manufacturing process generates income, I have doodled a few dollar bills underneath the four cars. Use a rectangle shape to draw the dollar. Then a couple of v-shaped lines below the rectangle to show multiple notes.

Step 4

doodle manufacture

Now add lines in between the cars and the money to highlight a process of steps. This signifies that we are building a car and that it follows a manufacturing process.

Step 5

how to doodle manufacture

Add the finishing touches to your manufacturing doodle by giving it some color. And there we have it. This is our visual representation of the manufacturing process. See if you can create another example of the manufacturing process using another doodle instead of the car. You could, for instance, use a house, or a bike, or a robot as an example. Feel free to use your imagination. 🙂

How to Doodle a Magnet

Step 1

drawing a magnet

To doodle a magnet, begin by drawing an arc-shape in the middle of your page. Notice how the arc shape is angled at 45 degrees. Also, notice how the opening is on the top right. This will become the inside area of your magnet.

Step 2

draw a magnet

Now draw a couple of lines extending from the arc-shape you drew in step 1. Notice again the angles of these two straight lines. Notice also the length of the lines and how they are relatively consistent on both sides.

Step 3

doodling a magnet

Time now to connect the outside edges of the two straight lines using another arc-shape. Notice how even the spacing is between the two arc shapes.

Step 4

doodle a magnet

Let’s now draw some more details to our magnet. Use straight lines on the outside of the magnet. These lines highlight that the magnet has magnetic power. Draw three additional straight lines on the magnet as shown within the example, and also write down S and N on either end. This represents the North and South poles.

Step 5

how to doodle a magnet

Add the finishing touches to your magnet doodle by giving it some color. And there you have it. This is a simplified doodle of a magnet. How many other ways can you think of to draw a magnet? Maybe, you could try drawing it using a variety of angles. Or, maybe, you could add a third-dimension to your doodle. Try it out. 🙂

Step 1

drawing magic

If someone asked you to visualize MAGIC, what would you draw? How about a top hat and a magic wand? This seems like a great representation of MAGIC. To begin your doodle. Draw a couple of elongated oval shapes in the middle of your page. This will become the opening of your top hat which will be lying upside-down.

Step 2

draw magic

Next, doodle the top section of your top hat using a three-sided rectangular shape. Notice the size, length, and width of this shape.

Step 3

doodling magic

Now, let’s doodle our magic wand. Use an elongated rectangular shape to draw your magic wand. Then add a straight line near the top of the wand. Notice the angle of the wand in relation to the top hat within the example.

Step 4

doodle magic

To show that there is a little magic here, let’s draw three stars above the magic wand. Within the example, I drew 5-pointed stars. You can, of course, draw 4-pointed stars or even draw your stars in a very different way. Feel free to experiment with this.

Step 5

Step 1

drawing logic

If someone asked you to visualize LOGIC, what would you draw? This is a tough one. But let’s give it a go. To begin with, draw three squares in the middle of your page. Then within each square, draw a smaller square.

Step 2

draw logic

Within the first square, draw an X. Within the second square, draw a Y. And within the third square, draw a question mark. Then add a “plus” sign between the first and second square, and an equals sign between the second and third square. This will become our formula for LOGIC.

Step 3

doodling logic

To make this doodle more logical, let’s draw a brain in the background. Use a cloud shape to doodle your brain. Notice how the brain stem looks kind of like a high heeled shoe. 🙂

Step 4

doodle logic

Let’s now add some more details to your brain using arc shapes and straight lines. The straight lines on the top left of the brain signify that the brain is actively thinking about something. In this case, it’s thinking about the formula.

Step 5

Step 1

drawing a location

If someone asked you to visualize a LOCATION, what would you draw? How about a map with a location marker? To begin your LOCATION doodle, draw a location marker in the middle of your page. Use an upside-down teardrop shape and an oval shape.

Step 2

draw a location

Use four straight lines to draw the map area. Notice the angles of the two vertical lines on the left and right side of the map. Notice how these lines are angling inwards. We do this to show that the back end of the map is further away from us. It’s all about creating perspective.

Step 3

doodling a location

Let’s now add a little detail to our map. Use curved lines to draw some roads on the map. You can follow the example above, or create your own variation of this.

Step 4

doodle a location

Let’s now draw three lines above the location marker. These are “action” lines that draw attention to the marker. It signifies that something is happening here. And, therefore, encourages our eyes to focus on this area of the doodle.

How to Doodle Lesson

Step 1

drawing a lesson

If someone asked you to visualize a LESSON, what would you draw? For this example, let’s draw a figure talking from a lencturn to an audience. First, use an elongated rectangle shape and a couple of vertical straight lines to draw your lencturn.

Step 2

draw a lesson

Use an oval shape and a couple of arc shapes to draw a figure behind the lencturn. Notice how it is not necessary to add to much detail. All we are trying to do here is to sell the idea of a LESSON. No complicated drawings are necessary.

Step 3

doodling a lesson

To teach a lesson, we need an audience. To draw your audience, use oval shapes. You will notice in the example that I have drawn four oval shapes. These oval shapes will become the backs of heads of our audience.

Step 4

how to doodle a lesson 04

To show that there is a large audience sitting in front of the speaker, draw several arc shapes above the oval shapes you drew in the previous step. Notice how we don’t have to add any details to these head shapes. They immediately give us the idea that there are more people standing in front of the lencturn.

Step 5

how to doodle a lesson

Finish up your LESSON doodle by giving it some color. Notice, also how three lines have been drawn above the speaker’s head. This is to show that they are communicating with the audience. This is, of course, only one way to draw a LESSON. How many other examples can you think of?
