How to Doodle Desk

How to Doodle a Desk

Step 1

Begin by doodling a straight horizontal line in the middle of the page. Right beneath this line, doodle another horizontal line. Keep the spacing between the two lines even and join them up at the ends. Above this, doodle another horizontal line that is a little shorter. Now connect this line to the original lines below it to close the shape.

Step 2

On the right side of your doodle, draw an upright rectangle. Divide this rectangle into three sections using two horizontal lines, then doodle three small rectangles within each of the three larger rectangles. Now, on the right side, doodle a couple of straight vertical lines that match the length of the rectangle you doodled on the left. Join these lines up on the bottom to close the shape.

how to doodle desk 02

Step 3

To give the desk a 3-dimensional look and feel, doodle a couple of vertical lines extending from the top of the table. However, make sure that these lines are a little shorter than the other vertical lines you doodled in the previous step. Now connect these two vertical lines to the draws and leg of the table.

how to doodle desk 03

Step 4

Add some shading to your table by using carefully positioned lines on the bottom inside panel and the top of the table. You can, of course, play around with the size and positioning of the lines as well as the spacing between each line.

doodle clock

Step 2

Next, give your clock a pair of legs. Use simple straight lines that angle outwards and form a rectangle. Alternatively, you can use half-circles or squares for the legs. Above the head of the clock, mirror the base by doodling to antennae extending outwards. Kind of like giving your clock a pair of horns. On top of these horns doodle two half moon circles to represent that bells of the alarm clock.

Step 3

Now, spend a little time adding dials to your clock. You can, of course, create a digital or analog dial. Or, use your imagination to create something even more creative and out of this world. 🙂 Don’t forget to also add a couple of arcs on either side of the horns. These arcs will draw the horns out of the head of your alarm clock when we add the third dimension.
