How to Doodle a Magnet
Step 1
To doodle a magnet, begin by drawing an arc-shape in the middle of your page. Notice how the arc shape is angled at 45 degrees. Also, notice how the opening is on the top right. This will become the inside area of your magnet.
Step 2
Now draw a couple of lines extending from the arc-shape you drew in step 1. Notice again the angles of these two straight lines. Notice also the length of the lines and how they are relatively consistent on both sides.
Step 3
Time now to connect the outside edges of the two straight lines using another arc-shape. Notice how even the spacing is between the two arc shapes.
Step 4
Let’s now draw some more details to our magnet. Use straight lines on the outside of the magnet. These lines highlight that the magnet has magnetic power. Draw three additional straight lines on the magnet as shown within the example, and also write down S and N on either end. This represents the North and South poles.
Step 5
Add the finishing touches to your magnet doodle by giving it some color. And there you have it. This is a simplified doodle of a magnet. How many other ways can you think of to draw a magnet? Maybe, you could try drawing it using a variety of angles. Or, maybe, you could add a third-dimension to your doodle. Try it out. 🙂
