Competencies

In order to excel as a visual thinker, it is recommended that you develop a set of competencies that will naturally enhance your ability to think visually and present your ideas in a persuasive way.

There are a total of nine visual thinking competencies that you can work on mastering over time. These competencies include: 

A high proficiency within each of these areas is not essential to become an effective visual thinker. However, it is encouraged that you do develop your skills in each of these areas to the best of your ability.
