How to Doodle a Goal

How to Doodle a Goal

Step 1

drawing a goal

If someone asked you to draw a GOAL, how would you visualize it on a page? What exactly would you draw? How about a mountain with a flag on top that represents our goal? Begin by drawing a straight line on the bottom of your page. This line will represent the ground and the bottom of our mountain. Next, doodle the mountain. Use a wavy and rounded triangle shape to draw your mountain. Your mountain doesn’t necessarily need to look like the example above. Feel free to play around with the shape if you wish.

Step 2

draw a goal

To draw the flag on top of our mountain, use a straight line and a side triangle shape. Notice that the lines of this triangle shape are curved rather than straight. This gives us the impression that the flag is waving in the wind. This flag will represent our goal, while the mountain represents the journey and challenges that come with goal achievement.

Step 3

doodling a goal

Let’s now show our path toward our goal. To visualize this path, draw an arrow that extends from the bottom of your mountain right up to the top where the flag is. This arrow shows the path we took to accomplish this goal.

Step 4

doodle a goal

Let’s now add a few more details to our GOAL doodle. To make our flag look more like a goal, let’s add a few straight lines extending out from the flag. This helps us highlight the goal. It makes the goal seem more important. Then add some additional straight lines on the side of the mountain to give it some texture and shading.

Step 5

how to doodle a goal

Add the finishing touches to your GOAL doodle by adding some color. Feel free to experiment with the colors. This is, of course, only one way to visualize the idea of a GOAL. How many other ways can you think of to draw a goal?

how to doodle giving

How to Doodle Giving

How to Doodle Giving

Step 1

drawing giving

If someone asked you to visualize the act of GIVING in a picture, what would you draw? How about two hands exchanging a heart. 🙂 Let’s begin our GIVING doodle by drawing the left hand (which is a right hand, but that makes no difference) 😉 It’s difficult to express in words how to draw this hand. Please have a look at the example and pay particular attention to the length of the lines and where they merge together.

Step 2

draw giving

For the second step, we will now draw the opposite hand. You will notice that this hand is a mirror image of the hand we drew in step 1. You are basically mirroring the exact same doodle here. The only difference is that the fingers and thumb are pointing in the opposite direction. Take note of all the angles used in these first two steps.

Step 3

doodling giving

Let’s now draw a heart floating above our left hand. This heart will symbolize the idea of giving love to somebody else.

Step 4

doodle giving

Now, let’s draw an arrow moving from right to left. This arrow is pointing to the floating heart and represents how the heart was moved or given from one hand to the other hand.

Step 5

how to doodle giving

Finish off your GIVING doodle by giving it some color. And there you have it. You now have a representation of GIVING in a visual format. So next time you need to represent this word visually, you will know what to draw. But, of course, there are many other ways we could potentially represent the idea of GIVING. What other ideas can you think of?

Step 1

drawing a ghost

To doodle a ghost, begin by drawing a large arc shape in the middle of your page. Notice how the arc shape veers outwards on the bottom left and right. This will become our ghost head.

Step 2

draw a ghost

Let’s now close off our arc shape by using wavy lines. There are no strict rules here. Your wavy lines don’t need to look like the example. You can create your own variation of these wavy lines.

Step 3

doodling a ghost

To doodle the eyes of your ghost, use to side arc shapes for the eyeballs. Then use two small oval shapes for the iris. Notice how we are emphasizing the eyes in this ghost doodle. We want to make the ghost look somewhat scary. 😉

Step 4

doodle a ghost

There are a number of ways you can doodle the mouth of your ghost. In this example, you will notice that the mouth is large and wide. Notice also the tongue is visible as the ghost opens its mouth. Doodle the tongue using a wavy line.

Step 5

how to doodle a ghost

How to Doodle Frustration

How to Doodle Frustration

Step 1

drawing frustration

If someone asked you to doodle FRUSTRATION, what would you draw? How would you represent this word using a picture? How about a pencil snapping in half. To begin with, draw a rectangle shape slanted at a 45-degree angle. Notice the jagged line at the top of the rectangle shape.

Step 2

draw frustration

To draw the tip of your pencil, use a v-shape and then a straight line. Notice the size of the pencil tip when compared to the body of the pencil you drew in step 1. This is, however, only about half the body of our pencil. The second half is in step 3.

Step 3

doodling frustration

Draw the other end of your pencil using the same rectangle shape you drew in step 1. Also, include the jagged line on the right end of the rectangle. Notice the angle of this end of the pen compared to the other end of the pen.

Step 4

doodle frustration

Use an arc shape and a straight line to doodle the rubber tip at the end of our pencil doodle.

Step 5

how to doodle frustration

For the final step, we need to show that our pencil is getting snapped in half in frustration. We, of course, want to keep this simple by showing only the snapping action. To visualize this, use v-shapes extending from the space between the two pencil ends. Then in between the v-shapes, draw small dots and circles to show little pieces breaking off the pencil. And finally, don’t forget to give your FRUSTRATION doodle some needed color.

How to Doodle a Frog

Step 1

drawing a frog

To doodle a frog, begin by drawing an oval shape near the top of your page. Notice how the oval shape is a little odd. It’s kind of more like a mango shape. It’s flatter on top and more rounded on the bottom. This will become our frog’s head.

Step 2

draw a frog

Let’s now draw the front legs of our frog. To doodle the legs, use a combination of curved lines, v-shapes, and arc shapes. Notice how the frog’s feet are pointing outwards. Notice also where the front legs of our frog connect to the head area.

Step 3

doodling a frog

To draw the back legs of your frog, use a combination of curved lines, straight lines, and v-shapes. Try and draw each leg with one motion of your pencil or pen. Notice how the back legs are sticking outside the body area of our frog.

Step 4

doodle a frog

Let’s now draw some facial features for our frog. For the eyes, use oval shapes. Then two flatter oval shapes for the eyebrows. For the mouth use a curved line, and for the nose draw to side arc shapes.

Step 5

how to doodle a frog

Add the finishing touches to your frog doodle by giving it some color. Frogs, of course, can come in a variety of colors. But for this example, I have chosen a standard green color. Notice, how two shades of green have been used. The back legs are a little darker than the front legs. This gives us the impression that they are towards the back of our doodle.
