How to Doodle a Bee

Step 1

To doodle a bee, begin by drawing the main body of the bee. Use an arc and v-shape for this purpose. The upper part of the body uses an arc shape, while the lower part of the body uses a v-shape.

To doodle the head of your bee, use an oval shape. Notice the positioning of the head and the size and proportion when compared to the body we drew in step 1.

How to Doodle a Mug of Beer

Step 1

To doodle a mug of beer, begin by drawing 3-quarters of an upright rectangle with its top missing. Notice how the two corners of the rectangle are rounded. Also, notice the length of each line.

To doodle the froth sitting on top of the beer mug, draw a cloud shape. Notice how the cloud shape extends inside and outside the rectangle you drew in step 1. Make sure the cloud shape also extends outwards on the sides of your beer mug.

To doodle the handle of your beer mug, use straight lines. Notice the placement and positioning of these lines. Also, notice the length of each line and the spacing between the lines.

We now have what looks like a beer mug. But we now also need to place the beer mug on a coaster. To doodle the coaster, draw an oval shape. Notice how part of the oval shape is hidden behind the beer mug. You can, of course, play around with the size of the coaster.

How to Doodle a Baby

Step 1

drawing a baby To doodle a baby, begin by drawing an elongated arc shape in the middle of your page. Then connect the ends of this arc shape with a curved line. Notice in the example the angle of the lines and the spacing used. This will become your baby’s blanket.

Step 2

draw a baby To draw the baby’s head, use an arc shape. Notice the positioning and size of this arc shape in relation to the blanket we drew in step 1.

Let’s support our baby’s head with a small pillow at the back of its head. Doodle another arc shape for this pillow. Notice where the arc shape begins and ends and how it is connected to the blanket. Also, notice the spacing between this arc shape and our baby’s head.

Let’s now show that our baby is sleeping. To do this, use small arc shapes for the eyes, and deeper arc shape for the nose, a couple more arc shapes for the ears, and a squiggly line for the hair.

Step 1

To doodle an astronaut, let’s begin by drawing the helmet. Begin by doodling an oval shape for the outside of the helmet. Then, on the inside of the helmet, draw a straight line connecting to an arc shape.

For the neck area of the helmet, use a couple of straight lines and a curved line. Notice the angles of these lines and how they are connected to the top part of the helmet.

For the body of our astronaut doodle, use a couple of curved lines. Then connect those curved lines using a straight line. Notice in the example how far the curved lines extend from the neck area.

Let’s now doodle some more details on our astronaut. Use oval shapes, curved lines, straight lines and rectangles to add details to the helmet area and the bodysuit of our astronaut. There are no specific rules here. So feel free to use your imagination.

Step 1

To doodle an ant, begin by drawing an oval in the middle of your page. Notice, however, how the oval sticks out a little on the left in a v-shape. This will become your ant’s head.

To doodle the middle section of your ant’s body, draw an elongated arc shape that connects to the head. Notice the angle of this shape and how it connects to the ant’s head.

For the back section of the ant’s body, draw another elongated arc shape. This arc shape doesn’t have to be perfect. You can look at the example and draw something similar or a little different. No fixed rules here.

Step 1

To doodle an ambulance, begin by drawing two small circles on your page. Next, draw a larger circle on the outside of each of the smaller circles. These circles will become the wheels of your ambulance.

There are many ways we could doodle an alien. Let’s take a look at one example. To begin with, doodle two arc shapes. Notice where these arc shapes connect. This will become your alien’s head.

To doodle the alien’s body, use a couple of short straight lines for the neck, and then an oval shape for the body. The size of the body can, of course, vary. You can play around with this and change it up if you like. 🙂

To doodle the alien’s arms and legs, use several arc shapes and curved lines. Notice how the hands are by the alien’s side. We don’t show the fingers. Instead, we are doodling his arms as though they’re hidden behind his back.

Step 1

To doodle an alarm, begin by drawing a small oval in the middle of your page. Now, around this oval shape, draw another larger oval shape as shown within the example.

Next, draw a rectangle underneath the large oval shape you drew in step 1. Notice the positioning and size of this rectangle.

In the first couple of steps, we drew the main components of our alarm doodle. Now, let’s draw the arm of our alarm. This is the moving component of our alarm that rings the bell. Use elongated curved lines to draw this arm.

To show that our alarm doodle is ringing, use four curved lines above the alarm. This is a simple and effective way to show that something is vibrating. Notice the positioning of these curved lines above the alarm.

How to Doodle Reading a Book

Step 1

How to create a simple doodle that represents the idea of reading a book? Begin by drawing a vertical line in the middle of your page. Draw four additional lines extending from the vertical line at a 45-degree angle. Notice the length of angles of the lines. These lines will become the back of our book.

Step 2

To draw the pages of your book, use two straight lines and a couple of small squiggly lines. Notice again, the angle of the lines when compared to the lines you drew in step 1.

Step 3

Let’s now doodle the person reading the book. Begin by drawing the person’s hands. Notice the placement of the hands. Also, notice that our doodle person only has three fingers. And this is fine because when it comes to doodling, it’s all about simplification. Don’t forget to also doodle the head. Use a half oval shape for this purpose.

Let’s now draw some facial features on our doodle person. Use curved lines, oval shapes, and small circles. Also, use curved lines for the hair and ears. Then finish things off using straight lines for the book. Notice how the outer edges of the book are drawn behind the fingers.

How would you draw a presentation? Is there an easy way to represent this? Well, there might be. Let’s begin by doodling the easel. Use straight lines to draw a rectangle in the middle of your page. Then doodle the legs using three additional straight lines.

Step 2

To draw the person presenting, doodle an oval shape that will represent the head of our presenter. Then for the body, doodle a couple of slightly curved lines. Then join them together using a straight line.

Step 3

To doodle the arms and legs, use a combination of straight and curved lines. Notice the angles of these lines and the positioning of the hands and feet. This is, of course, just one example of the positioning. Feel free to experiment with this.

Use several additional straight lines for the legs of our easel and for the presentation wand. Notice the simplicity of our drawing. Doodling isn’t about having artistic skills, but rather about getting our message across in the simplest way possible.
