How to Doodle a Book
Step 1
Begin by doodling an angled rectangle in the middle of the page. Angle the vertical lines slightly toward the right. Make sure to keep the spacing between the horizontal and vertical lines even. The angles of the lines opposite each other must match. This will become the top cover of the book you are doodling.
Step 2
Next, doodle the bottom cover of the book. Make sure that all lines are drawn at the same angle so that the spacing between the top and bottom covers of the book are even. Finally, doodle an arc that connects the top cover to the bottom cover. This will represent the pages of the book.
Step 3
Doodle a rectangle on the top part of the front cover of the book. This is normally where the book title goes. Next, doodle several more straight and angled lines between the two covers of the book. These lines will represent the pages of the book.
Step 4
Add the final touches to your doodle using straight and angled lines to give your book added depth. Use lines also to show the separation of pages between the front and back covers of the book.
Step 5
The final step is to add some color to your doodle. Use complementary colors or different shades of the same color. Feel free to experiment with the use of colors. Color will give your doodle added personality and character.
