How to Doodle a Shower

Step 1

drawing a shower

If someone asked you to doodle a shower, what would you draw? Let’s keep this very simple. Begin by drawing two arc-shapes that combine to make a half-moon shape. This will become the side of your shower.

Step 2

draw a shower

Next, draw another arc shape facing in the opposite direction. This gives our shower a 3-dimensional look. This section becomes the bottom of the showerhead. The part where the water comes out from.

Step 3

doodling a shower

Use another three arc shapes to draw the connection to the showerhead. Two long arc shapes for the sides, and one small arc-shape for the top. Notice how the side arc shapes expand outwards as they move towards the showerhead.

Step 4

doodle a shower

Let’s now add a few more details to the showerhead. First, draw several oval shapes on the showerhead. These become the holes for the water. Next, let’s draw several water droplets dripping from the shower.

Step 5

How to Doodle Sex

Step 1

drawing sex

If someone asked you to be very conservative and draw a visual representation of SEX, what would you draw? Let’s give it a go. 🙂 First, let’s draw the bed. Use a combination of straight and curved lines to draw the bed. You will notice in the example that we are only focusing on drawing the bed frame.

Step 2

draw sex

Next, draw something that looks like two mountain peaks. These will represent bed sheets. And the two peaks are actual heads of our characters who are under the blanket having, you know what. 😉

Step 3

doodling sex

To visualize the idea that these two people are in love, let’s draw three love hearts above their heads. These love hearts could simply represent love, romance, or sex.

Step 4

doodle sex

Use curved lines and arc shapes to show that the sheets have folds and creases. These lines make the sheets look more realistic and textured.

Step 5

how to doodle sex

Add the finishing touches to your doodle by giving it some color. And there we have it. This is our visual representation of SEX. The doodle is very PG-Rated. It doesn’t reveal too much, but reveals enough to give us the idea that something more than PG-Rated is going on under those sheets. 😉 Is this the best way to represent SEX? Do you have any other ideas of how we can draw this?

How to Doodle a Sequence

Step 1

drawing a sequence

If someone asked you to visualize a SEQUENCE, what would you draw? Let’s make this one fairly straightforward. Begin your doodle by drawing three ovals in the middle of your page. Space out these ovals evenly across your page.

Step 2

draw a sequence

Next, number each of these ovals from left to right in a sequence. Give the first oval #1, the second #2 and the third #3.

Step 3

doodling a sequence

To highlight that this is a sequence of steps, add an arrow in between each oval shape. Make sure that this arrow is pointing from the lower number to the higher number.

Step 4

doodle a sequence

Add a couple of arc shapes on the outside of each oval. This gives us the impression that it’s an active sequence of steps. In other words, something is happening or moving in this sequence.

Step 5

how to doodle a sequence

Add the finishing touches to your doodle by giving it some color. And there we have it. This is our visual representation of a SEQUENCE. You could, of course, replace the ovals with doodles of hats, cars, fruit, etc. The idea is to visualize a sequence of steps. The doodles you use to represent that sequence is completely up to you. How to Doodle a Satellite

Step 1

drawing a satellite

Let’s break down how to doodle a satellite using simple visual alphabet shapes. Begin your satellite doodle by drawing a square in the middle of your page. Notice how the square is on an angle. It’s also oddly shaped. Certainly not a perfect square.

Step 2

draw a satellite

Next, draw two rectangles that will represent the solar cells of our satellite. Connect the solar cells to the body of the satellite using straight lines.

Step 3

doodling a satellite

Add some details to your solar cells by drawing lines on each of the wings of the satellite. Draw one long line through the middle of each wing, then draw several smaller lines crossing over the long line.

Step 4

doodle a satellite

Use a combination of straight lines, curved lines, arc shapes and v-shapes to draw your communication antenna. Notice the arc shape waves emanating from the antenna.

Step 5

how to doodle a satellite

Finish things off by giving your doodle some color. And there we have it. This is our visual representation of a satellite. How many other ways can you think of to draw a satellite? Could you try drawing it from a different angle?

If someone asked you to visualize the idea of ROMANCE, what would you draw? How about a couple sitting on a couch? However, because this is a doodle, we will need to make it very simple and straightforward. Begin by drawing the back of the couch. Notice how the bottom corners are straight while the top corners of the couch are rounded.

Step 2

how to doodle romance 02

Use a combination of arc shapes and curved lines to draw the first person of our couple. Notice that in this doodle we can only see the person’s head, left shoulder, and right arm.

How to Doodle Risk-Taking

Step 1

drawing risk

If someone asked you to visualize the idea of RISK-TAKING, what would you draw? We need to think of something simple that we could draw fairly quickly that would demonstrate the idea of RISK-TAKING. Let’s give it a go. Begin by drawing almost a full oval shape on your page. Notice in the example the gap in the oval shape.

Step 2

draw risk

Extending from this gap, use a combination of straight lines and v-shaped lines to draw what looks like a very wonky pole. Your doodle doesn’t necessarily need to look exactly like the example above. You can draw something that looks like it. This will become our climbing pole.

Step 3

doodling risk-taking

Next, draw a head of a stick figure. Use a straight line for the mouth. Notice how the head is about 3/4 of the way up the pole.

Step 4

doodle risk-taking

Now we must show that our stick figure is climbing the pole. Notice the positioning of the hands and feet of our stick figure. You can, of course, change up the positioning. The idea is to show that the stick figure is climbing the pole.

Step 5

how to doodle risk-taking

Add the finishing touches to your doodle by giving it some color. And there we have it. This is our visual representation of RISK-TAKING. Do you get it? Our stick figure is climbing a long pole. It looks dangerous, and so he/she is taking a risk. But this is, of course, one of many ways we could draw the idea of RISK-TAKING. How many other ways can you think of?

How to Doodle a Result

How to Doodle a Result

Step 1

drawing a result

If someone asked you to visualize a RESULT, what would you draw? One very simple and effective way to visualize this would be to draw a tick. And I don’t mean the garden variety tick. 😉 I mean the tick you get when you ace a test. Let’s, however, progress this a little further by also adding a clipboard to our doodle. To begin with, draw the top section of your clipboard. Use straight lines to draw a large and small rectangle shape as shown within the example.

Step 2

draw a result

Next, use straight lines to draw the clipboard and paper. Notice in the example how a gap has been left on the right-side of the clipboard. This is where we will place our tick in the next step.

Step 3

doodling a result

Use a combination of straight and curved lines to draw your tick. Notice the angles of these lines and the distance between them in the example.

Step 4

doodle a result

Let’s now show that there is some writing on the paper. Kind of like a test or an essay. Use wavey lines to represent words and sentences on paper.

Step 5

how to doodle a result

Add the finishing touches to your doodle by giving it some color. And there we have it. This is our visual representation of a RESULT. We have a tick and what looks like a test or exam on the clipboard. In combination, this gives us a result. We could potentially have added a thumbs up doodle instead of the tick, but that is a little more difficult to draw. Can you think of any other ways to doodle a RESULT?

How to Doodle a Resort

Step 1

drawing a resort

If someone asked you to visualize a RESORT, what would you draw? When I think about what a resort looks like, I imagine a tropical island scene. So let’s create this. Begin by drawing the island. Use an arc shape for the island, then a series of connected arc shapes for the ocean waves.

Step 2

draw a resort

Use a combination of straight lines and an arc shape to draw a small island hut on the sand. Notice the angles of these lines. Huts can come in a variety of different shapes and sizes. Feel free to use your imagination and create something a little different to the example you see above.

Step 3

doodling a resort

Every tropical island and resort needs a palm tree. Use a combination of straight lines and v-shapes to draw your palm tree right next to the hut.

Step 4

doodle a resort

When we think of a tropical scene, there has to be an element of warmth. In other words, the sun must be shining down on our island scene. This gives us the impression of a tropical scene. Use an oval shape to draw your sun. Then around the sun, doodle some heatwaves using curved lines that rotate and radiate from the sun.

Step 5

how to doodle a resort

Finish things off by giving your doodle some color. And there we have it. This is our simple and straightforward visual representation of a resort. How many other ways can you think of to draw a resort scene in the form of a simple doodle? Or how could you alter this resort scene in a slightly different way? Could you add any other elements to the scene?

How to Doodle Research

Step 1

drawing research

If someone asked you to visualize RESEARCH, what would you draw? Let’s take a look at an example. When thinking about “research” immediately a document comes to mind. So let’s first doodle a piece of paper. To draw your paper, doodle a rectangle in the middle of your page. Notice how there is a gap on the bottom left side of our rectangle.

Step 2

draw research

Within this gap, doodle the handle of a magnifying glass. Use an elongated arc shape for the handle, and to oval shapes for the glass area of the magnifying glass. The magnifying glass will help symbolize a focus area for our research.

Step 3

doodling research

Let’s now show that there is a depth of research here. To show this, draw another couple of pieces of paper. Use straight lines for this purpose. Notice how these lines match the angles of the original paper draw in step 1.

Step 4

doodle research

We need to now show that there is something here to research. Doodling writing is fairly straightforward. Use wavey lines like drawing waves of an ocean. Then within the magnifying glass area, write Abc. This is the highlight of our research project.

Step 5
