How to Doodle Watch
Step 1
If someone asked you to doodle a WATCH, what would you draw? There are almost an endless amount of possibilities when it comes to drawing a watch. We could, in fact, tackle our watch doodle in numerous ways. But let’s approach it in a very straightforward way that makes it easy to draw. Let’s begin by drawing a couple of ovals in the middle of our page. You can draw either the small or large oval first. What’s important is to place the smaller oval inside the larger oval. This will become our watch face.
Step 2
Next, let’s give our watch face some added details. Let’s draw an analog watch face. To do this, use a combination of small straight lines, v-shaped lines, and a small oval. In the example below the time is approximately 4 o’clock, or close to it. 🧐 You can, of course, play around with the design of your watch face. You can even make it a digital watch face, or change it any which way you like.
Step 3
Now you have the option to either make your doodle a wristwatch or a handheld watch. For this example, let’s make it a wristwatch. We will, therefore, need to doodle a strap. Use a combination of straight lines to doodle the strap for your watch. Also, don’t forget to include the dial controller on the side. Use a combination of straight lines to doodle this as shown in the example.
Step 4
Let’s now give our strap a few more details. In the example below I’ve used straight lines and a couple of rectangles on the strap. You can, of course, play around with this and add more or fewer details on your strap. Feel free to even include different patterns or designs to give your strap some added personality. 😃
Step 5
The final step is to add a splash of color to our watch doodle. I’ve decided to go with traditional colors (brown for the strap, grey for the metal frame of the watch face, and light blue for the watch face itself. You can, of course, play around with the colors, and I’d like to encourage you to do so. And, so there we have it. This is our visual representation of a watch. How many other ways can you think of to doodle a watch?
