How to Doodle Uncertain
Step 1
If someone was to ask you to visualize the idea of someone or something being uncertain, what would you draw? Let’s do something a little different and fun with this one. 🙂 Begin your doodle by drawing an oval near the bottom of your page.
Step 2
Now, within that oval, let’s doodle a face using a combination of lines and arc shapes. You will notice by the facial expression that this face looks rather uncertain and confused. This could well be enough to express the idea of UNCERTAINTY in a visual way. But let’s go a little further.
Step 3
Let’s turn this head into the bottom of a question mark. Use curved lines and an arc shape to draw the top section of the question mark as shown within the example.
Step 4
Now, let’s draw a face on the top part of the question mark. Use several arc shapes for the eyes and then another one for the nose. Then use a v-shape for the mouth. Notice how our question mark face is staring at the original face we drew in step #1. Here the doodle head is posing a question, but the question isn’t yielding and answer, and so uncertainty does certainly exist. 🙂
Step 5
Add the finishing touches to your doodle by giving it some color. And there we have it. This is our visual representation of UNCERTAINTY or of something or someone being UNCERTAIN about something. A simple doodle you can use as part of your visual notes. But because the word UNCERTAINTY can be interpreted in so many different ways, consider how else it could be visualized on paper.
