How to Doodle Teamwork

Step 1

drawing teamwork

If someone asked you to visualize the idea of TEAMWORK, what would you draw? We could go about this a number of different ways. Let’s, however, look at a very simple icon heavy example. Begin your Teamwork doodle by drawing three small ovals on your page. Notice how these ovals are spaced in the example. These ovals will become the heads of your icon characters.

Step 2

draw teamwork

Use arc shapes to draw a body for each of your icon characters. The arc shapes are used for the left side, the right side and the lower body area. Here we now have three individual characters. We must, however, show that they are a team and working together for the same objective or goal.

Step 3

To show that these icon characters are interconnected, let’s link them together by using a Venn Diagram. Simply draw a circle around each character. Notice how you are not drawing a full circle. You are just drawing the circle from the head to the body. Notice also how the circles overlap in the middle. This will be important for our next step.

Step 4

doodle teamwork

Where the Venn Diagram overlaps, that is where each of our characters share a mutual interest. In other words, where it overlaps, that is where we will place our goal. And to represent our goal, we will draw a simple star shape. However, you can draw another shape that would symbolize a mutual goal. This now highlights that everyone is working towards the same goal as a team.

Step 5

Add the finishing touches to your doodle by giving it some color. And there we have it. This is our visual representation of TEAMWORK. Can you see the symbolism here and how it works in a doodle format? How many other ways can you think of to visualize the idea of teamwork in the form of a simple doodle?
