How to Doodle a Tank

Step 1

Tanks can come in a variety of shapes and sizes. For this example, we will use very rounded shapes. Begin by drawing the body and head of your tank. Use arc shapes and rounded closed shapes for this purpose.

Step 2

Let’s now doodle the wheels of your tank. For this purpose, we are going to be using oval shapes. Notice how the oval shapes are larger in the middle and smaller at the ends.

Step 3

Let’s now doodle the shooting arm or cannon of the tank. Here, we will use straight and curved lines as shown in the example above.

Step 4

Let’s now give our tank a little more character and details. All these details are not necessary, as I think we have pretty much nailed down what a tank looks like. But the details give our tank a little personality. To doodle these details use curved lines, arc shapes, straight lines, and rectangles.

Step 5

The final step is to add a slight shadow effect to certain areas of our tank using small straight lines. Also, add three straight lines coming out of the cannon. Then finally, give your tank some needed color. Tanks can, of course, come in various colors. Therefore, feel free to use your imagination. 🙂
