How to Doodle a Police Officer

Step 1

drawing an officer

How could we doodle a police officer in a simple way? Let’s take a look at one example. Begin your doodle by drawing the police officer’s head and ears. Use three arc shapes for this purpose. Notice the side of the ears and where they are positioned on the side of the officer’s head.

Step 2

draw an officer

Use a combination of straight lines and a couple of arc shapes to draw the officer’s hat. Notice in the example the angles of the straight lines. These, of course, don’t have to be perfect. Doodling isn’t about perfection, but rather about getting your ideas across in an effective way.

Step 3

doodling an officer

Use two curved lines to draw the shoulders and body of our police officer. Then use a straight line to connect the two curved lines. When doodling, we don’t have to draw too many details. But you can see here, that even with minimal details that our police officer doodle is very quickly coming together.

Step 4

doodle an officer

To help distinguish that this is a police officer, let’s just add a few more details in this step. First, draw a star on the police officer’s hat. then use a combination of straight and curved lines to draw the police officer’s tie and badge.

Step 5

Add the finishing touches to your doodle by giving it some color. And there we have it. This is our visual representation of a police officer. As you can see, we added enough detail for us to distinguish that this is a police officer, but not too much detail. No facial details have been added, as these aren’t necessary. However, feel free to add facial details to your doodle to help express a specific emotion. Or, add long hair to your police officer to change his gender. 🙂
