How to Doodle a Lightbulb

Step 1

Begin by doodling a couple of squiggly arc-shaped lines. Make the lines a mirror reflection of each other.

Step 2

Now combine both squiggly lines at the top and bottom to close off the shape.

Step 3

To doodle the top of the light-bulb use three arc-shaped lines as shown in the example above. Try and keep the lines smooth and consistent.

Step 4

Now add some more details to your light-bulb using several more arc-shaped lines that are part of your visual alphabet.

Step 5

Add the final touches to your light-bulb by adding several more straight lines to the outer edges of the light-bulb. This will make it seem as though the light is on and shining. 🙂 And finally, add some color to give your light-bulb some character.
