How to Doodle Knocking
How could we visualize KNOCKING? This could be knocking on a door, window, table, or whatever. What’s an easy way to visualize this? Let’s give it a go. Begin your knocking doodle by drawing the backside of a fist. Use a combination of curved lines and arc shapes.
To draw the thumb, use another arc shape. Then connect that arc shape to a straight line to draw the wrist of our arm. Notice the length of the lines and the spacing between them.
To draw the shirt sleeve area, use a rectangle shape. Doodle this rectangle shape right below the wrist area. Notice how the rectangle is slightly wider than the wrist area.
To visualize that your fist is knocking on something, use a combination of v-shaped lines. Draw these interconnected v-shaped lines around the fist area as shown within the example. Notice how these lines are pointing in different directions depending on their location around the fist.
Finalize your doodle by giving it some color. And there you have it. This now becomes our visual representation of KNOCKING. But I’m sure there are other ways we could visualize knocking. How many other ways can you think of?
