How to Doodle Evolution

Step 1

If someone asked you to draw the idea of EVOLUTION, what would you doodle? Well, how we start with four circles on the page. Notice the size of these circles and how they are positioned within the example. These circles will become the heads of our cartoon characters.

Step 2

Under the second, third and fourth circle, use three lines to draw the bodies of our characters. Notice how the size of each body gets larger as we move from left to right.

Step 3

Doodle some feet and arms to the two bodies on the far right. Notice how the third cartoon character from the left has short legs and hands behind their back. Notice also how the cartoon character on the far right has longer legs and outstretched arms.

Step 4

Now, to show that this is a process of evolution, draw an arrow moving from left to right.

Step 5

To finish things off, give you evolution doodle some color. You can, of course, use a variety of colors here. I have chosen in this example to use complementary colors. How else could you doodle the idea of EVOLUTION?
