How to Doodle an Elevator

How to Draw an Elevator (drawing tips)

Step 1

drawing an elevator

To doodle an elevator, begin by drawing a rectangle in the middle of your page. Now, split that rectangle into two parts by drawing a line through the middle of the rectangle. This now gives you two upright rectangles.

Step 2

Around the two rectangles, you drew in step 1, doodle another rectangle. Notice the spacing between this rectangle and the original two rectangles. You want to make sure the spacing isn’t too large. These rectangles now become our elevator doors.

Step 3

At the moment our elevator doodle still doesn’t quite look like an elevator. We will, therefore, need to add some more details. For this step, doodle a small rectangle above your elevator doors. Then on the right, doodle an upright triangle, and an upside-down triangle. Then near the bottom, draw two lines for the floor on either side of our elevator doors.

Step 4

This is now starting to look like an elevator. Let’s, however, add a few numbers to the top rectangle. Add the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. These are the floor numbers for our elevator.

Add the finishing touches to your elevator doodle by drawing several straight lines on the doors for shading purposes. Then give your elevator doodle some needed color.
