How to Doodle a Duck
Step 1
To doodle a duck, begin by drawing an oval in the middle of your page. Notice how I haven’t closed the oval within the example. It’s important to leave a small gap on the bottom side of the oval shape.
Step 2
Next, use curved lines to draw the body of your duck. Notice the size and length of the curved lines. Also, notice the side “M” shape that forms out duck’s tail.
Step 3
To draw the beak of your duck, use three curved lines. Start with the line on top, then draw the bottom curved lines, then finish off with the middle curved line. Then for the duck’s eye, use an oval shape. Feel free to play around with the size and shape of the eye.
Step 4
Draw the duck’s wings using two conjoined curved lines. It’s difficult to see within the example, but if you look closely you will see that I have combined two curved lines to form the wing shape. I have then added another side “M” shape to add extra details to the wings. Also, don’t forget to doodle the fluff of your duck’s head. Use another side “M” shape here combined with an upsidedown “V” shape.
Step 5
Add the finishing touches to your duck doodle by giving it some color and placing your duck on water. Notice the different shapes of color used within the example on the duck’s body and beak.
