How to Doodle a Pencil

Step 1

Begin by doodling an upright rectangle leaning towards the right. Kind of like the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy. 🙂

Step 2

To doodle the tip of the pencil, draw a pointy triangle. Then a smaller pointy triangle within that larger triangle. And this will now become the tip of the pencil.

Step 3

Use two squiggly lines to draw the top of the pencil. Cap that off with an arc shape for the end.

Step 4

Time to add some fine details to your pencil. To do this, simply draw a few lines as shown within the example. These lines give your pencil a bit more “pop” and character.

Step 5

Finally, give your pencil some needed color. The colors you choose is up to you. Pencils can come in a variety of colors. Feel free to use your imagination. 🙂
