How to Doodle a Heartbeat
If someone asked you to draw a heartbeat, how would you visualize it? Drawing a heart seems easy enough, but doodling a heartbeat makes things a little more tricky. But let’s give it a go. 🙂 Begin your heartbeat doodle by drawing to upside-down oval shapes in the middle of your page. These shapes will become the top section of our heart.
Let’s now doodle a visual representation of the rhythm of our heart. To do this, use a combination of straight and v-shaped lines. Notice the angles of the lines within the example. You can copy this exactly, or mix things up a little. Now we have a visual representation of the beating rhythm of our heart.
Use curved lines for the bottom section of your heart. Notice where these lines converge on the very bottom of your page. Notice also the angle and flow of these lines in the example.
To show that the heart is beating, draw several curved lines on the outside of the heart. These curved lines visualize that there is a beating rhythm to our heart.
Add the finishing touches to your heartbeat doodle by giving it some color. And there you have it. This is our visual representation of a heartbeat. But I’m sure there are other ways we could visualize a heartbeat. How many other ways can you think of?
