How to Doodle a Tablet
Step 1
If someone asked you to doodle a tablet, what would you draw? We could, of course, draw a simple rectangular tablet. But rather than just doing that, let’s make our tablet doodle a little more visually appealing by including a hand on the tablet. Use elongated arc shapes to draw the fingers of the hand that will be resting on the tablet. Notice how the index finger is longer than the other fingers on our hand.
Step 2
Use a combination of straight and curved lines to draw the thumb, wrist and shirt sleeve area. Pay specific attention to the angles of all the lines in this doodle.
Step 3
Let’s now draw the tablet. Use straight lines to draw your tablet. You are essentially drawing a couple of rectangles. Notice how the rectangles are positioned behind the hand in the example.
Step 4
Let’s now add a few more details to our doodle. Use ovals and squares to draw the buttons on the tablet. Then doodle several straight lines around the outside of the index finger to highlight that the finger is tapping the tablet.
Step 5
Add the finishing touches to your doodle by giving it some color. And there we have it. This is our visual representation of a tablet with a hand. You can now use this doodle whenever you want to visualize a tablet in your visual notes. How many other ways can you think of to doodle a tablet? Could you try drawing it from different angles?
