How to Doodle History
Step 1
If someone asked you to visualize HISTORY, what would you draw? This is a tough one, and yet at the same time, we could do this in a number of ways. For this example let’s draw a clock that’s moving backwards. Begin your doodle by drawing the outer edges of our clock. Use a couple of arc shapes for this purpose. Notice the gap.
Step 2
Let’s now draw the north, east, south and west sides of our clock face. Use a rectangle for this purpose. Also, draw an arrow that points to where 9 o’clock would be.
Step 3
Now draw an oval in the middle of your clock face. The size of this oval doesn’t really matter. You can go bigger or smaller.
Step 4
Now draw the hands on the clock face. Where you point the hands makes no difference. We have enough information to give us the idea that this is a clock we are drawing.
Step 5
Add the finishing touches to your clock by giving it some color. And there you have it. This is our representation of HISTORY. The clock face represents us moving back in time, which takes us back to a historical period. This is, of course, just one way to visualize HISTORY. How many other ways can you think of?
